DSC 4 Zone Keypad System indicator lights on the keypad, and keypad is beeping (to silence the beeps, press the [ # ] key): Press [ * ]+[2] to display one of the following trouble conditions: If the zone 1 indicator lights- This indicates your backup battery is low or disconnected. This could be a normal indication after a power outage, and if so, should correct itself within 24 hrs. If you have not had any power outages in the last 24 hours, it may indicate that the battery needs to be replaced by a service technician. If the zone 2 indicator lights- This indicates that the AC power is out. This could be because of a Electric Service outtage (there would be no power in the house), or possibly a house fuse is blown or circuit breaker is tripped. If you have verified that all house circuits are OK, but the trouble condition does not correct itself, please call for a service technician. If the zone 4 indicator lights- This indicates that the alarm panel is unable to communicate with the central station. Often this is caused by a loss of telephone service, or if someone or something is using the phone when the system tried to communicate with the central staton. The alarm system will retry many times. If your phone service has not been interrupted, and this indication does not clear itself shortly, please call for a service technician. If your keypad is displaying indications other than listed here, please contact our service department. After diagnosis above use the [ # ] key to return to ready condition. To reset the keypad, press the [ * ] key then press and hold down the [ 4 ] key for 5 seconds.
DSC 6 Zone Keypad System indicator lights on the keypad, and keypad may beep twice every 10 seconds (to silence the beeps, press the [ # ] key): Press [ * ]+[2] to display one of the following trouble conditions: If the zone 1 indicator lights- This indicates your backup battery is low or disconnected. This could be a normal indication after a power outage, and if so, should correct itself within 24 hrs. If you have not had any power outages in the last 24 hours, it may indicate that the battery needs to be replaced by a service technician. If the zone 2 indicator lights- This indicates that the AC power is out. This could be because of a Electric Service outtage (there would be no power in the house), or possibly a house fuse is blown or circuit breaker is tripped. If the zone 3 indicator lights- This indicates the DC power supply inside the alarm system has a blown fuse, this will cause any devices (motion detectors, glass break detectors, etc.) not to function. Please contact our service technicians to set up a repair date time. If the zone 4 indicator lights- This indicates that the alarm panel is unable to communicate with the central station. Often this is caused by a loss of telephone service, or if someone or something is using the phone when the system tried to communicate with the central staton. The alarm system will retry many times. If your phone service has not been interrupted, and this indication does not clear itself shortly, please call for a service technician. If the zone 5 indicator lights- This indicates your fire zone on your system is in need of repair. This may mean the fire zone will not cause an alarm, or could cause a false alarm. Please contact our service technicians. If the zone 6 indicator lights- This indicates that the system clock has been reset, usually caused by a combination of no AC & battery backup power. You may also have an indication of a low backup battery and/or no AC power. This will normally be reset within 24 hours when your system calls in (as it does every day). Please contact our service technicians if this condition does not go away within 24 hours. If your keypad is displaying indications other than listed here, please contact our service department. Please verify you are able to get a dial tone on all phone lines in your house. If your phone service has not been interrupted, please call for a service technician. If the zone 5 indicator lights- This indicates that the alarm panel is unable to communicate with the central station. Often this is caused by a loss of telephone service, or if someone or something is using the phone when the system tried to communicate with the central staton. The alarm system will retry many times. If your phone service has not been interrupted, and this indication does not clear itself shortly, please call for a service technician. If the zone 6 indicator lights- This indicates that the system siren or bell has a problem, and may not sound in the case or an alarm condition. Please contact our service technicians. If the zone 7 indicator lights- This indicates your fire zone on your system is in need of repair. This may mean the fire zone will not cause an alarm, or could cause a false alarm. Please contact our service technicians. If the zone 8 indicator lights- This indicates that the system clock has been reset, usually caused by a combination of no AC & battery backup power.
